    IP global struggle: MPAA, Malaysian government swoops on pirates

    The Malaysian government, along with representatives of the United States' Motion Picture Association (MPAA), came down hard on a group of alleged DVD pirates.

    This is another element in the United States' East Asian intellectual property campaign. Singapore agreed to support American digital IP provisions earlier this summer.
