Fearsome technology as a way to sell games? Playstation uses the uncanny valley (and this is very disturbing):

We shouldn't be surprised by the use of cyberfear as a marketing tactic.  In 2006, when this ad apparently appeared, the fearsome digital technology meme was already a generation old.
