A Washington Post story describes the online life of the Nigerian Detroit bomber ("Captain Underpants" is the best name), and manages to avoid stoking fearsome internet anxieties.
Note the appearance of Facebook, once again elevated above the rest of the scaryWeb:
On Facebook, Abdulmutallab's profile features a photo of him smiling, standing alongside two friends and wearing a sharp-looking pink polo shirt and sunglasses. He has 287 friends.
Perhaps this bodes well for better internet coverage in 2010. One can hope.
