A new twist on Facebook horror via an old scary story: Turkish police arrested a group of men accused of selling body parts over Facebook.
[P]olice units simultaneously raided a number of addresses implicated in the organ trade ring. Twenty-two suspects, including six doctors and potential sellers of organs, were taken into custody...
police searched 203 hospitals across the country and identified one hospital where illegal organ transplantations were taking place.
(Any more cyber?)
Police also seized computers and documents in the operation.
(Thank you)
It's a questionable story, but a toothsome one. Organlegging is a fine modern era horror story, dating back to the early 1800s if not earlier. The social media aspect is a fine fearsome digital media addition.
