Here's a fine invention for ecologically and economically stressed times. It's a head-mounted machine which captures the user's breath, then uses that gaseous mixture to breed algae, which the user can eventually eat.
It's like a stilsuit from Dune, or a facehugger from Alien:
A fine expression of DiY culture, of bootstrapping yourself. Self-reliance for hard times.
Alternatively, it's not about eating food from yourself, but an expression of celebrity culture:
The suit debuted at a recent event at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. There, an opera singer donned the algaculture symbiosis suit and serenaded the gathered crowd. The suit created new algae populations during her performance, which audience members were free to consume after the presentation.
We can imagine celebrity fans following their favorite movie star, begging to lap up their algae.
