I've been listening happily along to Lee's abridged version of Dracula above -- it's great background atmosphere for reading the full Wikipedia article on Friedrich and clicking to see the bigger versions of the paintings. Wish I'd seen some of his paintings when I was in Munich and Stuttgart for a few weeks, years ago. I saw some cool stuff, but unfortunately the museums I visited favoured Christian martyrdom and 20th century nihilism paintings.
