Caffeinators alert: Caffeine Society's Cafe Stories wants your short story about a cafe.
Be sure to note, or incorporate into the story, the name of the cafe and place where your story is set. By entering the contest, you give Caffeine Society the right to publish your story in an anthology and are eligible to win the $250 prize to be paid on publication.
There's going to be a book of these.
(thanks to Howard Rheingold)
Only slightly related: Jim Jarmusch has a film out now, Coffee and Cigarettes. It's a series of short stories, all centered around coffee and cigarettes. The scenes (all in black and white) were filmed over a 17 year period. If you've got Quicktime, you can view the trailer.
