Another question is: "Has this type of narrative stopped evolving?"

How about blognovel/ARG combos? Novels that are really games that are really novels that are really ARGs that use blogs, websites, voicemail numbers, live events and...

I know of several of those out there. The blog is used as the nexus point that in turns leads out to multiple websites or a website leads out to several blogs and livejournal sites being kept by characters in the story. I guess it's like the Go point on the old Monopoly board although that analogy sounds too 2D now that I've made it.

How about: "Stories written upon the mediascape" ;)
