Today's sessions at the NERCOMP Emerging Technologies meeting are going very quickly and well. Attendees are smart, careful listeners, and from a very diverse background.
Presenters are working very hard, and impressing us all. Brian Lamb is now rocking the house, with a rich, wiki-fied presentation. He's introducing social software, carefully situating it within the higher education context.
Joel Foreman just left for his plane, after giving an energetic, provocative, historically informated introduction to MMOGs. Shel Sax and Alex Chapin described an innovative use of iPods at Middlebury which grounded us in practical lessons. Before these guys took over, I did a very quick sketch of some emerging tech.
