"We need to cut back anyway..."
Deaths in MySpace: a registry of people with MySpace accounts who have died, hosted in full competitive irony at LiveJournal. The posts are clear and formulaic, with room for irony.
Leading causes of death include the war in Iraq and drunk driving.
Murder and MySpace was our earlier post on this energetic nexus of death and blogging.
(thanks, Jamie)
Come to think of it I read more obits online than I have ever read in a newspaper.

Ignorant question: are these parodies?

Quite so, Jon. I just read this:
"Error
Journal has been deleted. If you are myspace_deaths, you have a period of 30 days to decide to undelete your journal."
Anyone know the story of this?
