Jihadists are infiltrating computer games, according to Reuters. In the latest twist of the e-Qaeda story, it's all about the mods, as Islamicists alter games to change the stories a bit. Hot Coffee goes iJihad?
Tech-savvy militants from al Qaeda and other groups have modified video war games so that U.S. troops play the role of bad guys in running gunfights against heavily armed Islamic radical heroes, Defense Department official and contractors told Congress.
The possibilities are mind-boggling. Imagine, say, Doom III as the demons morph into US soldiers, or the culture warriors from the wrong side. Or a Qutb-inspired heuristic hack of The Sims, where men routinely go mad when glimpsing un-veiled women. Can a jihadist ARG be far behind?
