Now this is an interesting Second Life approach: what to do about the vast tracks of unpopulated land and empty spaces. Why not create copies of ecological simulations, stocked with artificial life? The Ecosystem Working Group has unleased the delightfully named Terminus, which contains creatures like the wobblefish and cannon plant.
Imagine such simulations proliferating. Would people give away unused land to see such things? Perhaps a traffic in sim improvements, with brokers vetting the best, most appropriate sims? Sim competitions could emerge. How long before a hack, and dark sims overrun acreage, weird creatures spilling into homes and dungeons?
This doesn't feel like the Second Life experience portrayed on the Linden Labs site. Will LL negotatiate with the sim projectors?
Terminus is a "low prim sim." Another SL neologism that I can't help but say aloud.

Sounds like a slightly more benign Grey Goo.

This is actually quite a good idea. Second Life has needed MOBs for a long time.
