Yahoo! again misstepped with Flickr. This time the company apparently deleted a Flickr member's comments... which criticized Yahoo, for allegedly helping a third part infringe on the poster's copyright.
The reason noted in that BBC article is interesting for our interest in fears about violence and cyberspace:
The co-founder of Flickr, Stewart Butterfield... said Flickr had removed the comments because there was "personal information of the infringing company's owner and suggestions for how best to exact revenge".
To their credit, they apologized. But this sort of thing isn't going to convince anyone that Yahoo is doing right by the Flickr universe. I'm certainly seeing nothing added to the Flickr experience.

It could get worse. There are persistent rumors that Microsoft is trying to buy Yahoo.
