Andrew Connell

I'm excited for this show and still wonder how it relates to the book by Alan Weisman titled The World Without Us. The book was riveting and Professor Weisman makes the complex science of human impact on the environment very readable with intriguing examples. Several of the examples (Chernobyl, flooding NYC subway, abandoned towns, etc.) are covered by both the book and show so I wonder what the relationship is. A thread on the History Channel's discussion board for the show indicates there might be a link, but none is stated in the "about the show" page. Interesting.
