The BBC extends technological fear onto mobile devices, worrying about "techo addiction." The mechanisms involved are a bit unclear, seeming to partake of habit, portability, and sleeping with devices (ahem).
There's a curious fatalism to the article, less a call to arms and more a sense of personal doom:
Prof Kakabadse said... it was often difficult to detect when someone had become an addict, "And when it is detectable it is often too late".
