Big Dog walks superbly down into the uncanny valley

Big Dog is a walking robot, a transportation device that can make its way over challenging terrain.  It can even recover from being kicked sideways, or slipping on ice. 

All the while, it emits a buzzing sound.  And the motion of the legs - like a giant, precise, mechanical insect.
