Wonderful photos.
I would seriously consider buying some decrepit-but-gorgeous building in Detroit (not quite so decrepit as these), fixing it up, and barricading myself inside with a lot of guns, except that my parents still live in SE Michigan.
The death of Detroit is fascinating to watch.

I can see you doing that, Christine. Reminds me of all the great Detroit movies - Robocop, The Crow.
