Today's transmission from the uncanny valley comes from Japan, and features another robot project. This time, the intent is to replicate a child's expressions. Or perhaps to simply creep us all out:
That appearance somehow makes this passage even more ominous:
The creators of the Child-robot with Biomimetic Body, or CB2, say it's slowly developing social skills by interacting with humans and watching their facial expressions, mimicking a mother-baby relationship.

Totally wrong... Even moreso now that I just watched the most recent episode of Fringe.
