Tracking a recession by the mounting numbers of the unclaimed dead

Recession Gothic: too many corpses at the Body Farm.  It's a "body overload":
"We're seeing an increase in families who can't afford the expense of a funeral," Davidson County Chief Medical Examiner Bruce Levy said.

That's Tennessee.  But it's also national, as "[c]ities across the U.S. are reporting morgues at capacity because families can't afford funerals."
