Let's see if Facebook apps, rather than the platform itself, start holding an evil reputation. Or if FB apps are rethought in more general terms:

I find it interesting that different social media sites have evolved in the different ways that they have -- FB reminds me of Wal-Mart -- a big box of cheap diversions that cost more in the long run than they are actually worth.
I hear so many people gripe how overworked and busy they are, but the second you bring up Farmville or Youville or Mafia Wars, they tell you how far up they made it. I do think some of social media sites have become silent time-stealers -- but not all of them...
