Business Insider has a fine gallery of dead malls in the midwestern state of Ohio.
The photographer observes:

I went to a conference at a hotel that was attached to the mall pictured (although not yet quite so derelict). During the lunch break we wandered through, and pretty much everyone agreed that this would be the site of the zombie apocalypse.
