Several years ago the United States FBI investigated a scary anti-Goth group, with the clear online name of GodHatesGoths, and the even more awesome name: The Church of the Hammer.
They weren't kidding about the Hammer bit:
But they were kidding about the whole thing. It was a hoax, a gag, a jape, a stunt:
Even Landover Baptist got into the act. And other people fell for it.
