The most Gothic month of the year is obviously October. Yes, December can claim maximum darkness in the northern hemisphere, and April can reference being "the cruelest month", and May begins with Walpurgisnacht (which April can claim the start of). But October is the month, the time of glorious decay in the north, the holder of Halloween, that shivering bridge between warmth and cold, the living and the dead. Fear lives in the October Country.
Infocult would like to honor this splendid period with three cultural activities, textual, ludic, and visual.
Textual: let us continue the quest to determine the best horror novel of the 21st century. We started this in 2015, and there are a lot of books to explore. The winner has yet to be determined.
Ludic: creepy and scary computer games have long been a thing. Play away this month!
Visual: we can tell a rich story of cinema by scrolling through the history of horror films. In 2011 we offered a sampler to explore. Meanwhile, the 21st century continues to churn out celluloid terrors. Turn down the lights and expose your eyes!
Nice pictures captured and interesting post shared thanks for it.
