Someone helpfully compiled a group of 1980s editorial cartoons, each attacking a digital menace of the time: video games.
They offer a fascinating glimpse of early cyberfear. We can see some nascent themes: computers striking at children; the specter of addiction. There are also plays on game mechanics, like people being attacked by Space Invaders, or players devoured by Pac-Man.
