Blood plastic

Today we learn about blood plastic.

This plastic material is made from 100 per cent dried and pressed cow’s blood, without any additives. Animal blood is a waste material from the meat industry. Designer Basse Stittgen explores the possibilities of blood as a material. The objects made from it interplay between the strong symbolic meaning of blood and its physicality.
